SOLVING YOUR DIFFICULT GENEALOGY PROBLEM
- This class begins by an analysis of each student’s present level of research. Students send this information to the teacher prior to the start of class. This allows the teacher to analyze the reseach and be able to instruct the student on research sources to look at during the course.
- THE COURSE TOPICS WILL INCLUDE:
- Why a well thought out Genealogy research plan helps you find difficult ancestors.
- Single document analysis.
- Using less known databases
- Finding missing ancestors by using multi document analysis techniques.
- How to use advanced methods of photo analysis to find an ancestor.
- Advanced Internet Genealogy research methods
- Understanding record depositories.
- Using advanced record finding techniques on the Internet.
- At the end of the class each student will receive an evaluation of what resources they should use for their specific project

It is recommended that you take Introduction to Writing a Family History before taking this course.
- How to Organize your research into a meaningful format for a movie.
- How to identify the hidden meaning of photo’s and incorporate photos into your movie.
- Creating your script outline.
- Using a qualifid Videographer.

Charlotte Marie Bocage is a full-time professional genealogist with more than four decades of experience. The 1977 the TV series Roots inspired her to put a name to what she had been doing for so long and to formally continue her genealogical search. She is the Bocage Family genealogist and historian tracing her paternal family back to 19th century Louisiana. The names in her family database were published in two Bocage family history books and one Bloom Family History book. Her Louisiana Research book is in development.
