Our networking facility is a place where the Home Based Business owner can come to network with other business owners. The facility offers a networking coffee shop, Conference room and your own cubicle. In addition we feature weekly mixers for our members and guests.

The Optin Learning Center is the first school in Arizona to offer:

  1. A comprehensive course of study for owners of home based businesses.
  2. A Co-working facility that offers Cubicle space and a networking coffee shop for owners of home based businesses.
  3. A wide range of continuing education courses for individuals interested in learning languages, pursuing hobbies or those individuals seeking to change their career.

Terry Houghland M.A
President and C.E.O
Terry has 32 years Management experience in non profits and for profit companies. He was Executive Director of the South Dakota Office of Cultural Preservation and regional Director of the Arizona Historical Society.  He is also part owner of Netvesta an Internet Marketing company. He has taught Internet Marketing at Scottsdale Community and Mesa Community college since 1999. 

Zhara Dean M. Ed.,
Director of Education Opt In Learning Center

Zhara Dean, M. Ed., worked at Scottsdale Community College for 30 years. During 24 of those years she headed up the Community/Continuing Education Department.  As Director of Continuing Education, Zhara oversaw the growth of the program to over triple the enrollment, five times the class offerings, and 20 times the revenue.

Jim Subach received his BS in Engineering Physics from the University of Maine, and his MS and Ph.D. in Optical Sciences from the University of Arizona.  He has owned and operated a private business / technology company for almost 30 years,  He was a Visiting Scientist at NASA-JSC, and was on the faculty of the Baylor College of Medicine.  His consulting work covered multiple industries as well as companies of widely varying size, from small 1 to 3 person businesses through companies with annual revenues exceeding $350M per year, including several that were traded on the NYSE and NASDAQ.  His expertise is in technology and novel models for business productivity and agility.  He is a director of a non-profit organization that is dedicated to the development of two solar-energy related industries in Arizona.  He is a Professor of Practice at Arizona State University.  At ASU his primary focus is preparing business-ready graduates.
